Welcome to South Shields Tennis Club. The club is located in the heart of South Shields, in the Westoe area. The club is located very close to South Tyneside College in South Shields and is just 5-minute walk from Chichester Metro Station.

We are a friendly, welcoming club and we warmly welcome members of any age, gender or ability. We offer a mix of social and competitive tennis, and junior coaching courses (L.T.A approved) prove very popular, with special promotions by our coaches.

We currently field several teams in the Durham & Northumberland league, in both Senior and Veterans categories, combined with friendly internal club tournaments for members, for doubles and singles, at no extra cost.

We provide year-round tennis facilities with 3 all-weather courts, together with a large clubhouse, licensed bar, changing facilities and showers. The club also often organises very popular social events.

Professional Coaching for All Ages & Abilities

We provide coaching for anyone with an interest in tennis, whether you’re a complete beginner or experienced player.

Our coaching programme is available to members and non-members. Players can attend a term of coaching first to see if they like it at members price before joining the club or paying non-members rates.
